Rebecca Black To Release New Music Video 'My Moment'

Singer Rebecca Black will be releasing a new single, 'My Moment', on Monday, July 18, the Hollywood Reporter says.

The song will debut on Rebecca's YouTube channel, which as we mentioned earlier still has no videos, not even the 'Friday' song. The music video will also appear on Rebecca's website.

'My Moment' follows the store of Rebecca's sudden rise to fame. It was written by Brandon 'Blue' Hamilton and Quinton Tolbert.

The 14-year-old Rebecca will also working on a 5-track EP, due for release in August.

Rebecca Black recently demonstrated her star potential with a cameo in Katy Perry's 'Last Friday Night' video.

Rebecca Black Place Under Police Protection After Receiving Death Threats

The teenage YouTube star Rebecca Black, who was dubbed the 'worst singer in the world', has been placed under police protection after receiving two death threats.

Rebecca Black's internet hit 'Friday' has been viewed over 110 million times online, attracting mainly criticism, reports the UK's Daily Mail.

The 13-year-old Rebecca Black shot to fame after her heavily auto-tuned hit went viral within days of hitting the web. She has since received two death threats, one over the phone and another via email.

Anaheim California Police are now said to be keeping a watchful eye on the youngster. Rebecca Black appeared on 'Good Morning America' last month following the first barrage of criticism, saying.

The worst thing I've read was I hope you cut yourself and I hope you get an eating disorder so you'll look pretty, and I hope you go cut and die, adding, When I first saw all these nasty comments I did cry. I felt like this was my fault and I shouldn't have done this and this is all because of me. Now I don't feel that way.




The singer's mother paid $2000 to the boutique record label 'Ark Music Factory' to the have the now infamous song and video produced. Rebecca Black has reportedly earned somewhere in the region of $20,000 through YouTube's revenue sharing plan, as well as 'thousands of dollars' from iTunes sales.

The Fox series Glee recently announced that it would be performing Rebecca Black's viral hit on a forthcoming episode of the show.

Rebecca Black 'Handpicked' By Ryan Seacrest At The Kids Choice Awards

The Singer Rebecca Black will co-host this weekend's Kids Choice Awards.

Rebecca made famous overnight by her YouTube video 'Friday', will be reporting from the annual Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards this weekend according to TMZ.

The 13th year old Rebecca was apparently 'handpicked' by American Idol presenter Ryan Seacrest for the show. Seacrest has already given Black a helping hand by assisting her in signing with a high-profile management company DB Entertainment.

The singer was interviewed on Seacrest's radio show last week, and the American Idol presenter saw that Rebecca and her mother were 'overwhelmed' with the sudden pressures of fame, reports TMZ.

Rebecca Black has recently announced that she will be following up 'Friday' with new single 'LOL', which according to The Sun is in a similar vein, with the chorus, 'BFF you make me LOL'.




After 'Friday' went viral Black endured harsh criticism for the song, which cost only $4,000 to make with small label Ark Music Productions. She told the British tabloid that some of the comments upset her.

She explained, speaking about reading what YouTube users had written. These people don't know me and it really hurt at first. I cried a little bit, I'm only 13.

I thought, Should I not have done this? What have I done wrong?
