Olivia Wilde Finds The Red Carpet Inspiration At Ralph Lauren Show

American actress Olivia Wilde said she jetted from Kenya - where she was filming a documentary - to Toronto, where she was promoting a new film, to make her way to New York for fashion week, where she only attended one show.

'I'm really happy I made it because it was a very special show', Olivia Wilde said Thursday after watching Ralph Lauren's spring-summer collection come alive on the catwalk.

The 27-year-old Wilde sat on the front row and said it gave her a chance to find some inspiration for the red carpet.

Olivia Wilde smiled, 'there were so many red carpet pieces'. "It felt very ethereal and elegant and very modern woman, at the same time having a very classic, Gatsby feel."

The 'Cowboys & Aliens' and 'House' actress eyed Lauren's robin egg-blue georgette dress with beading on one hip. On the front row, she rocked an all-black ensemble highlighted by a diamond cutaway at the chest, explaining:

'I saw it and was like, that's what I want to wear. For me it feels like something I would wear around New York'. Which she did.

Emma Stone And Olivia Wilde Named New Revlon Ambassadors

Hollywood beauties Emma Stone and Olivia Wilde have been named the new global ambassadors for Revlon.

The two stars of 'The Help' and 'Cowboys & Aliens' respectively will begin appearing in TV, print and digital ads early next year.

Emma Stone said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, I have been familiar with Revlon for as long as I can remember. I vividly recall my mom wearing Revlon makeup and I remember getting to the age when I was finally able to wear Revlon myself.

Olivia Wilde added, I have always admired Revlon and their commitment to giving women the confidence and tools they need to feel beautiful, both inside and out. Creatively, Revlon has never been afraid to push the envelope, which is important to me. I also love that they use their tremendous recognizability around the world to do good as one of the industry’s biggest champions of women’s health. It’s exciting to join a company with a big heart and big ideas!

The two actresses will also help fundraise at Revlon, which has raised more than $65 million for cancer research over the past decade.

Jon Favreau Interviews Olivia Wilde For ‘Cowboys And Aliens’ Cast

Director Jon Favreau continued his unconventional promotional campaign for Cowboys & Aliens by sitting down with actress Olivia Wilde for a heart-to-heart, last week.

In the pow-wow, Jon Favreau has been doing candid interviews of people involved with his upcoming film, due out on 29th July, for the past couple of weeks, talks with Olivia Wilde about horse-riding accidents on set, her recent work in Haiti, and her feelings on playing a lead role in Tron: Legacy.

The atypical, intimate, one-on-ones that Jon Favreau has adopted, in lieu of your ordinary 'behind-the-scenes videos' that most studios put out out prior to a release, are quite comical at times and definitely a needed break from the norm. The one complaint I do have ,however, is the broken-up format in which he releases them in.

Olivia Wilde Tipped For Tomb Raider Role Again

Olivia Wilde has once again been tipped to replace Angelina Jolie.

The sexy Tron actress is reportedly set to take on the role of Lara Croft in the game-inspired Tomb Raider film franchise.

The idea is to get a top director and an intelligent script and make this an empowering character for women as well as a popular one with men, a source said.

Olivia is just one of the names being suggested for the lead role. She would appear to be ideal.

Wilde was first linked to the role back in December, when the actress, along with Megan Fox and High School Musical hottie Vanessa Hudgens, were all being mentioned as the new Lara.

The idea is to make a movie around the game which would tell the story of the origins of Lara, a source said at the time. It will be action packed, gritty and much darker than the previous Tomb Raider movies.
